Goals from Steve McCarthy, Steve Mahon and Craig O'Donovan gave the 'Hall a 3-0 win in the league play-off against Macroom on Wednesday, 29th. June. The 'Hall led 1-0 at the break, in a first half which had the 'Hall on top, but still had goalkeeper Paul O'Halloran to thank for a couple of splendid saves.
The second half saw Macroom putting on some pressure, but the 'Hall defence held very firm. With about 10 minutes to go in an absorbing tussle, Ben Horgan's perceptive pass put Steve Mahon in space and he unleashed a terrific shot from 30 yards which flew into the roof of the net, despite the Macroom 'keeper's best efforts. Within a minute, Craig O'Donovan showed his sharpness, winning the chase for a long ball and knocking home the third.
Steve Mahon, the 'Hall captain received the league trophy following the game.
